To kick off the Shires League season the U17B team played a very tough double header. Our first match was against a very strong Notts team and although we lost the match 19-1, every player tried their best to win as many points as possible and a number of the games were very well contested. As team manager I was so proud of how the team battled and supported each other.

The second match was against Lancashire who also had a solid squad. Lots of the games were extremely tight with a number of them going to 3 sets. We lost this match 17-3 but again the effort and sustained motivation to fight for every point was brilliant. This team is super and the progress being made is so obvious to see. The way they conduct themselves on and off the court is a credit to the county and certainly make them a pleasure to manage. Well done team…on to the next one.
