Herts U15 (2010 or Below) Team County Challenge

The Herts U15 Team County Challenge 2025 was a highly competitive one-day tournament, bringing together 12 teams from 8 different counties in a spirited battle for the championship title. The format comprised seven matches; three mixed doubles, one boys’ doubles, one girls’ doubles, one boys’ singles, and one girls’ singles.

Leicestershire started the day with a strong performance in the group stage, finishing in first place with commanding wins over all three opponents:

• Leicestershire 6 – 1 Hertfordshire

• Leicestershire 6 – 1 Cambridgeshire

• Leicestershire 7 – 0 Northamptonshire (2nd)

Following the group stage, Leicestershire faced Kent in a playoff. Demonstrating composure and focus, the team secured a flawless 7–0 victory to book their place in the final match.

The final saw Leicestershire take on Yorkshire. Rising to the occasion with confident and composed play across all disciplines, Leicestershire emerged as worthy champions with an impressive 5–2 win, claiming the Herts Team Challenge title.

It was a fantastic day of team badminton that showcased not only the outstanding skill and determination of our players but also the strength and depth within the Leicestershire squad. The players displayed maturity, teamwork, and competitive spirit throughout, making their county proud. They were true role models for the younger and less experienced players at the event.
